Goran Pandev said he will “have a lot of fun” at Genoa after returning to “my second home” Serie A.

The Macedonian striker was presented to the media today after arriving as a free agent from Galatasaray, signing a two-year contract.

“I hope to make our fans happy and to help my teammates,” said the man who turns 32 later this month.

“Gian Piero Gasperini’s style of football is spectacular and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun with this team. I am at the disposal of my Coach and teammates.

“Hopefully Genoa can repeat the excellent campaign they had last season.”

It is a return to the Peninsula for Pandev, who already played for Inter, Spezia, Ancona, Lazio and Napoli before his one-season spell at Galatasaray.

“Italy is my second home. Serie A is very difficult and there are so many strong teams in the League.

“I chose shirt number 21 because my first son was born on that day. I hope it will bring me luck.”
