The Azzurrini are on stunning form and have a 100 per cent record in the qualifying group for the European Championship after beating Turkey home and away.

“We are working well, Coach Ciro Ferrara is teaching us about the characteristics of our opponents and we are convinced we’ll put in a good performance,” said the Chievo striker.

Their next match is against Hungary at the Stadio Capozza in Casarano on Tuesday, kick-off 16.00 UK time.

“There is a special atmosphere here in Puglia, as the passion of the fans really shows that they care about the Azzurri,” continued Paloschi.

“Winning would be doubly important, as it’d allow us to make a step up in the table and break away from those following us.

“Qualification has certainly not been assured yet, so we want to beat Hungary too.”
