“Palombo is in the squad,” the former Palermo tactician confirmed. “The club didn’t issue me with any kind of veto.

“I remember that Palombo was always an important element when I’ve come up against him in the past, he’s part of Samp’s history.

“He seems really motivated and the fact that I can name 23 players on a match day favours his inclusion.”
