“At the Sant’Elia I made a gesture that is really not part of my personality and I’d never done anything like that before in my career,” explained Palladino in a Press conference.

“I made a mistake and it will never happen again. I was caught up in the tension of the moment, as I hadn’t played in a long time and really wanted to do well.

“I personally apologised to the Coach, the team and wanted to do so in public to the club and Parma fans.

“There is a rapport of reciprocal respect with the Coach. On Sunday it was a moment of tension and it ended there. We cleared the air straight away.”
