Palermo have named the squad travelling to Switzerland for Thursday’s Europa League preliminary round tie with Thun.

The Sicilians must win or draw by scoring at least two goals, having scraped a 2-2 home result in the first leg last week.

There is a shortage of strikers for Coach Stefano Pioli, as the only forwards available are Fabrizio Miccoli and Pablo Andres Gonzalez.

Mauricio Pinilla has not recovered from his right thigh injury in time, so Miccoli looks set to start supported by Josip Ilicic and Eran Zahavi.

Argentine defender Mauro Cetto also pulled out after suffering from a muscular problem in the last training session.

The second leg of this Europa League preliminary round is on Thursday evening.

Palermo squad: Benussi, Brichetto, Di Gregorio; Balzaretti, Bovo, Cassani, Mantovani, Munoz, Pisano, Prestia; Acquah, Bacinovic, Bertolo, Di Matteo, Ilicic, Migliaccio, Nocerino, Zahavi; Gonzalez, Miccoli
