Palermo and Napoli are both thought to be interested in bringing Alberto Gilardino back to Serie A.

The 33-year-old is owned by Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina.

Four goals in 14 games was not enough to convince the Viola to make the move permanent, but Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that Gilardino does have options in Italy.
