Palermo “want to finish just behind the top clubs and fight for the Champions League” with €12m investment Paulo Dybala, says President Maurizio Zamparini.

The Sicilians officially completed their transfer for Instituto talent Dybala on Friday, hoping he will follow in the footsteps of Javier Pastore.

“We spent €12m for an 18-year-old,” Zamparini told Radio Sportiva. “He looks about 15, but I saw the footage of him playing and wanted to sign him, because I can see in him a player who can make the difference.

“Arevalo Rios will sign over the weekend. He will go to the Olympics as an over-age player and this is why he is late, but is going to sign the contract in London.”

Rios is a 29-year-old Uruguayan international midfielder who is ready to move from Tijuana for €3m.

“Giulio Migliaccio will stay, as he can play in defence too, while Federico Balzaretti will only leave if PSG make an offer. Napoli made an excellent proposal, but he doesn’t want to go, just as he doesn’t intend to join Lazio” data-scaytid=”50″>Lazio or Milan.”” data-scaytid=”51″>Milan.”

Balzaretti’s wife is the prima ballerina at the Paris Opera, so Palermo have repeatedly stated they will only sell the full-back if he makes the move for personal reasons.

“Talk of selling Abel Hernandez to Inter is pure fantasy football. Abel is not on the market, not even for €30m. It’s unfair for big clubs to spread rumours so they can turn a player’s head.

“There is no problem with Fabrizio Miccoli either and I think he will remain with us until the end of his career. The fans are with him, maybe every year he just wants to hear the club is with him too.

“I hope Emiliano Viviano does go to Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”60″>Fiorentina and I am stunned they haven’t made even a slight effort to push the move through. I don’t recognise that club anymore.”

There are reports the goalkeeper, who is a life-long Viola supporter, will hold a crucial meeting with Fiorentina on Tuesday.

“Our objective is to finish just behind the top clubs and fight for the Champions League while keeping our balance sheet in check.”
