Parma defender Massimo Paci's ban for violent misconduct has been halved from four matches to two.

The player was shown a straight red card for his horror tackle on Eder during the defeat at Brescia on January 16.

He had been hit with a four-game suspension for violent conduct.

However, Parma lodged an appeal and it has been accepted, as the Disciplinary Commission halved it to just two matches.

Paci has already sat out one of those games, so will miss this weekend's trip to Genoa.

It is a huge boost to the Ducali, who will have him back for the relegation dogfight against Lecce midweek and the home game with Fiorentina.
