Dani Osvaldo’s agent has ruled out the possibility of his client coming out of retirement to join Napoli.

The Partenopei are rumoured to be searching for a new forward following the news that Arkadiusz Milik is expected to be out for around six months with knee ligament damage.

However, the San Paolo side will only be able to sign players who are currently unattached unless they are prepared to wait until January, prompting speculation that they could pursue Osvaldo.

The 30-year-old was wanted by Chievo during the summer but responded to the Flying Donkeys’ interest by informing them that he had retired from football to focus on his music career.

Now, his agent Jano La Ferla has reaffirmed his client’s position that he has left the game for good.

“He decided to leave football. Now he is a musician in Barcelona,” La Ferla is quoted as saying by Calciomercato.it.
