There were reports today that Osvaldo was trying to patch things up with the Nerazzurri, but Vice-President Zanetti slammed the door on that theory.

“Osvaldo will no longer be a part of Inter,” Zanetti told Argentine newspaper Clarin.

“We are trying to find the best solution for him.”

Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici also told reporters they are “optimistic for Osvaldo. We are waiting for him to define some personal issues.”

The transfer window in Argentina closes in 11 days, but there is also the option of terminating Osvaldo’s loan deal and sending him back to Southampton.
