Sampdoria sporting director Carlo Osti says there’s “no need” to renew Luis Muriel’s contract.
The Colombian forward has two goals in four games already this season, and was expected to be handed an improved contract.
“I don’t think there’s still a need for a renewal or to insert a clause in his contract,” Osti shrugged, speaking to Primocanale. “He knows Sampdoria will do anything to enhance him.”

The Blucerchiati are short of bodies in defence, could they look to remedy that on the transfer market in January?
“It seems very premature to speak about January. I should also mention that we made a big investment in Dodo, who hasn’t yet absorbed [Marco] Giampaolo’s ideas but he will soon.
“We’ve also seen that [Vasco] Regini can fill in on the left in an emergency, and there’s also [Daniel] Pavlovic.”
