Mancini is reportedly in line to replace Walter Mazzarri on the Nerazzurro bench today, being handed a two-and-a-half-year contract to return to the club he managed between 2004 and 2008.
Fernando Orsi was assistant to Mancini at San Siro for two of those years as well as two years prior at Lazio” data-scaytid=”9″>Lazio, and believes his former colleague will return Inter to the top.
“I’m happy for Roberto, because I’ve known him for a long time,” Orsi has told Gianluca Di Marzio’s website.
“It’s an important sign from the club, although I think Mazzarri is also a great Coach.
“I think there will be a renewed enthusiasm, as a change on the bench always has that effect.
“Things aren’t easy at the moment, but I can assure you that Roberto is a born winner, his record speaks for itself.
“He’ll be returning to a place where he’s won in the past, and he always has a huge desire to do well.
“In my opinion he’ll change the club’s ambition.”
