Medics are “optimistic” Lorenzo Insigne, Riccardo Montolivo and Alessio Cerci can face the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

Insigne bruised his knee during last night’s 1-0 victory over Bulgaria, while Montolivo and Cerci have been carrying knocks for several days.

“Montolivo and Cerci played a few minutes in today’s game and responded sufficiently well,” said Professor Enrico Castellacci after a 3-0 win against Serie D side Ponte San Pietro Isola.

“We are optimistic for them and for Insigne, who should also recover for Tuesday.”

Ignazio Abate and Luca Antonelli have been ruled out after suffering injuries against Bulgaria, so Manuel Pasqual and Lorenzo De Silvestri were called in their place.

Montolivo, Mario Balotelli and Dani Osvaldo are also now available after bans.

A victory would be enough to qualify the Azzurri for the 2014 World Cup with two games to spare, as they are currently seven points clear at the top of Group B.
