Serie A has officially given Ciro Immobile a one-match ban for his headbutt during Lazio’s 3-1 defeat to Torino on Monday.

The decision to send off Immobile came under scrutiny, amidst claims that Nicolas Burdisso told referee Piero Giacomelli that Immobile did not touch him.

However, the Toro defender quickly denied that to be the case, and the attacker will now miss Lazio’s next Serie A game against Atalanta on Sunday, as well as pay a €10,000 fine.
