Okaka moved to Udinese on loan for the rest of the season from sister club Watford on Tuesday, and the former Italy striker has high hopes for his short spell with the Zebrette.

“I want to take Udinese back to where they deserve to be,” he said at his official unveiling.

“I spoke to Mr Nicola and he seems like a direct and sincere person to me, someone who is hungry like me. I can’t wait to get going.

“I didn’t play much at Watford, but I scored important goals. I’ve encountered many difficulties in my career, even personal ones, but now I’m happy to be here.

“I need time to get into shape, but I want to do my bit and make the difference. Udinese are a young and very talented team.

“My experience in England has enriched me, but now I’m in Udine and I come here with the objective of doing well.

“I will give my best to fulfil my dreams and those of the club. Doing good for myself means playing at a good level and helping the team win.”
