Napoli have officially sold Carlos Vinicius Alves Morais to Benfica for €17m, with 50 per cent of the fee going to Gremio Esportivo Anapolis.

The 24-year-old never actually wore the Partenopei jersey, as after his €4m move from Real Sport Clube in 2018, he went out on loan to Rio Ave and Monaco.

A statement released by Benfica confirmed the financial details of this transfer at €17m.

Vinicius signed a contract to June 2024 that contains a €100m release clause.
