Udinese have officially signed a contract until June 2021 with Sebastian Prodl after the Austrian had been released by Watford.

The 32-year-old centre-back comes on a free transfer and is ready for his first stint in Italian football, after terminating his previous contract with the Hornets.

The Friuli released a statement confirming the player has arrived on contract until June 2021.

The Friuli released a statement confirming the player has arrived on contract until June 2021.

“Udinese Calcio announce that we have secured Sebastian Prodl’s sporting performances,” the club wrote. “The Austrian defender has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until June 30, 2021.”

The defender has played 85 games and scored three goals during his spell at Watford, whilst he has previous experience from Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.

In Germany, the Austria international played 176 games and contributed 13 goals for Die Werderaner.
