The FIGC has confirmed that Serie A will go ahead as planned this weekend, despite the ugly fallout from InterNapoli on Wednesday.

Serie A had been threatened with suspension after fans were stabbed and killed outside San Siro, while Kalidou Koulibaly was subjected to racist abuse.

However, FIGC chief Gabriele Gravina told Sky Sport Italia: “Football will be played on Saturday.

“Games will go ahead as planned. The League won’t stop.”
