The Coronavirus outbreak in northern Italy has already killed 30 people and infected over 1,200.

While the Regione Liguria local authorities announced earlier this evening that Sampdoria-Verona would go ahead on Monday evening behind closed doors, the Lega Serie A then changed the plan again.

Instead, this too, like all the other Week 26 fixtures affected by the outbreak, has been rescheduled to May 13.

It's reported Sampdoria opposed the move to play behind closed doors, as it would effectively neutralise their home advantage.

It is increasingly likely that May 13 date will act as a maximum rather than specific rescheduled date, as the clubs, Lega Serie A and Government are all urging them to find earlier dates in the calendar.
