Former Lazio captain Stefano Mauri has resumed his career by signing for Brescia.

It is a return to the Rondinelle, who he represented with seven goals in 31 Serie A appearances in 2003-04.

Creative midfielder Mauri just turned 37 this week and has signed on until the end of the season.

This is a drop down into Serie B, but he had been out of contract when his deal with Lazio expired in July 2016.

His other clubs included Modena and Udinese, while he has 11 senior caps for Italy.
