Mainz 05 have signed former Roma keeper Gianluca Curci, as confirmed with an official statement on their site.
The Roma youth product returned to them after and extensive loan to Bologna, but spent the entirety of the last season on the bench. He became a free agent after the expiry of his contract.

"The 30-year-old Italian comes as a free transfer and has signed a two-year contract until June 2017 with the Bundesliga club."
The statement then goes on to relate Curci's history in Serie A.
