The fee is thought to be around €33m, with Mohamed Salah moving to the Stadio Artemio Franchi on a six-month loan deal as part of the deal.

The transfer has been imminent for several days, but issues over who will pay Salah’s wages caused a delay this morning, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

It was also tied up in waiting for Andreas Schurrle to complete his transfer to Wolfsburg for a reported £24m.

However, the deal has now been completed, with the Colombian international joining Mourinho's men on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

In a statement, Chelsea confirmed the capture of Cuadrado, but the terms of Salah’s loan were not mentioned.
