Milan veteran Massimo Oddo has advised Alexandre Pato to listen and learn from his San Siro teammates.

The young Brazilian has come under fire over the last week after he was berated on the pitch at Lecce by Gennaro Gattuso on Sunday.

It was the latest in a number of incidents which suggest that the club expect more from the 21-year-old, despite his awesome scoring record.

"Pato is a boy who needs to mature," said the former Lazio captain.

"He must listen to the advice which he is given because the boy lacks experience."

Oddo was also questioned on Inter's resurgence seeing as the Nerazzurri are now just six points behind the Rossoneri and with a game in hand.

"It's quite normal that Inter are climbing back up the table as they had a few games yet to play," the 2006 World Cup winner said. "We're still top though.

"Inter just needed a bit of a shake up and Leonardo has had the good fortune of being able to count on the injured players who Rafa Benitez couldn't."

Asked whether he saw Inter's 3-2 win over Cesena on Wednesday, Oddo claimed he was watching the other channel.

"I watched the Rome derby [in the Coppa Italia] as I'm really not interested in Inter at all. We'll see who is first at the end of the season…"
