The agent of Pedro Obiang has revealed that he’ll meet with Sampdoria officials next month to discuss his player’s future.

The Spanish youngster, still just 20-years-of-age, is on the radar of a number of top clubs in Italy and beyond.

“I’ll be in Italy on March 3 to see Sampdoria play Parma,” Josè Miguel Gonzalez told TMW. “Around that time I’ll meet with the Samp directors.

“A renewal? That is a possibility. His contract currently expires in 2016 and there is no reason why we should be thinking of a transfer at this stage of the campaign.”

There are suggestions that the midfielder will be offered a new deal until 2018, but bids are expected to be made for him at the end of the season.

“In May we will sit down with Sampdoria and discuss the best thing for the player and the club,” the representative added.

“I think he is destined for a top club as he is proving that he is worth a lot. But Pedro is just concentrating on doing well for Sampdoria right now.”
