Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that Novellino, who was sacked by Serie B side Modena last season, is the frontrunner for the job.

The outlet believes that Novellino’s experience and relationship with Zamparini gives him the advantage, as of all the Coaches to have worked under Zampa at Venezia and Palermo, he is the only one not to have been sacked.

Former Rosanero captain Corini is reportedly the second choice candidate, with Colomba the final solution.
