The shot-stopper clattered into teammate Michel Morganella during today's 2-0 defeat to Bologna.
Replays clearly showed a tooth flying through the air and he was stretchered off in agony.
Novara later confirmed Ujkani has been taken to hospital and x-rays show he fractured his nose and lost four teeth.
The 23-year-old also suffered a cut to the cheekbone, but that does not seem to be fractured.
