Domenico Criscito's agent says there is 'nothing concrete' for a transfer from Zenit St Petersburg to Napoli.

After being linked to a variety of Italian teams, the 29-year-old full-back is now touted for a move back to the Partenopei.

“For the moment it's just a working hypothesis,” his agent Andrea D'Amico told Radio CRC. “In the market, what counts for something are concrete facts, and for now I have nothing new.

After being linked to a variety of Italian teams, the 29-year-old full-back is now touted for a move back to the Partenopei.

“Mimmo was close to Napoli even when he left Genoa, but the Russians were quicker and more concrete.

“For now there have been some small contacts with the Azzurri directors, but no more than that. Clearly Mimmo is an important player, not least for the national team under [Giampiero] Ventura's new direction.

“So far he's been greatly penalised, he must gather things which in the past he did not. He is versatile, as Napoli know very well even though we haven't discussed it in person. He can play on the wing and in the centre.

“He is essential to [Zenit Coach Mircea] Lucescu. Obviously, being a Neapolitan, he has a special fondness for his city, but footballers nowadays are used to being citizens of the world.

“The image rights? These matters are a little premature to be discussed now. As I said, there's nothing concrete.”
