“We are fine as we are in midfield,” Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini told Tutto Juve. “We have enough players there, thus we do not need any more.”

Pazienza has spent two previous spells at the Stadio Friuli – between 2003 and 2005, as well as last season’s six-month loan stint.

Pazienza made eight Serie A appearances for the Turin giants in 2011-12, but that consisted of just one start and totalled only 172 minutes.

He scored one goal in 15 games for the Stadio Friuli side after his switch at the start of the New Year.
