Fiorentina have announced Gonzalo Rodriguez has “muscular fatigue”, ruling out a tear.
The defender went off injured in Sunday night’s draw with Milan, leading to fears he could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
However, in an official announcement this morning the Viola have confirmed that the Argentine hasn’t suffered a serious injury.
“Today’s tests on Gonzalo Rodriguez ruled-out a lesion to the flexor muscle in the right thigh,” a statement on the club’s website assured.
