It emerged on Thursday morning that the Camp Nou outfit had supposedly tabled a €55m bid for the Napoli goalscorer, with the Partenopei pushing for somewhere nearer the €70m mark.
However, respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed via his official website that the Camp Nou outfit have in fact not made any move for the Argentina international.
With both clubs organising a friendly match in Geneva this August, rumours were circulating that it could be part of a deal to see Higuain move to Barca.
However, Di Marzio has insisted that no such agreement is in place, with Luis Enrique’s men not bidding for the forward, and Napoli not interested in selling at any price.
