Nike have informed Inter that they intend to reduce their sponsorship payment by €1m after the Serie A giants finalised a new deal with Moncler.
Inter announced a new partnership with Moncler in December triggering a reaction from their kit manufacturers who, according to Calcio & Finanza are willing to change their agreement with the Nerazzurri.
According to the report, Nike have already informed Inter that they will deduct €1m from their deal as they believe that the agreement with Moncler breaches the contract stipulated with the Nerazzurri.
On the other hand, the documents shown to Calcio & Finanza highlight how the Nerazzurri are free to ‘finalise agreements with clothing and footwear brands limited to formal clothing and formal shoes.’
Inter sources confirm that they are in talks with Nike to solve the issue, but can’t ensure that the company won’t try to pay less money or take any other action in the future.
