Tomorrow, Toro host his former club Genoa, the side he helped reach salvation before he was replaced by Rolando Maran.

“It’s part of the past,” Nicola said at a press conference. “Now, I focus on the present.

“Our importance and awareness are linked to the fact that work will give us continuity.

“The growth process can’t be a slave of external factors.”

He stressed that he’s not looking for revenge against the Grifone, who ended up replacing Maran with Davide Ballardini in December.

“In my career, I have always accepted exciting challenges and that’s how I arrived at an important club like Torino,” he said.

“I try to convey my desire to get to the bottom of this experience.”

Nicola has a habit of gathering the Torino players in a circle after the final whistle of the games and explained why.

“We look for consistency of the messages given in the games,” Nicola said at a press conference. “Trying to strengthen the values regardless of the result.

“When we don’t have the required belief but don’t let it influence us, that's what makes the difference.”
