Crotone Coach Davide Nicola insists he does not care about speculation that he faces a fight to keep his job.

The 43-year-old took over at Stadio Adriatico during the summer, with the club having just secured promotion to Serie A for the first time in their history.

However, the Rossoblu have secured just one point in their opening five games of the new season, prompting fears the club could be cut adrift early on in their fight to stay up.

“Is my seat warm? I don’t care at all,” Nicola told reporters at a Press conference to preview the match with fellow strugglers Atalanta.

“I am calm, I know I have done the job asked of me to put a team out on the pitch who can be competitive in Serie A and stay up.

“From the first match, we have made gigantic steps.

“The match with Atalanta is important for both teams, but it cannot determine anything.
