Davide Nicola says Crotone have never given up hope of staying in Serie A.
The Pitagorici moved within eight points of safety this afternoon by beating fellow strugglers Empoli 4-1, a result which could prove critical come the end of the season.
"I don't know whether it is difficult, but we have never abandoned hope of being able to make it," Nicola told reporters after beating the team one place above his side.
"The performance of the team showed this. We will put everything into it in order to continue to grow.
