Milan striker M'Baye Niang has claimed that he is not 'the next Mario Balotelli' and admits he is happy at San Siro.

The 18-year-old joined the Rossoneri last summer from Caen, but believes he made the right decision to join Massimiliano Allegri's side, as well as dismissing comparisons between himself and the Manchester City forward.

“I am not the Balotelli of Milan,” he told Sport Mediaset. “It is way too early to say that.

“Mario is a great player, but I am still very young – I've only played four games for Milan.

“I am happy with the choice I made. The Rossoneri are a great club with a history of winning many titles.”

The France Under-21 international then commented on the impact Stephan El Shaarawy has made this season, and also his own ambitions in Italy.

“Stephan is a good man. Even after scoring 14 goals, it has not all gone to his head. Hopefully he can do even better in the second half of the season.

“My personal objective is to play more, but I just want the team to reach third place.”
