Spanish newspaper AS claims Negredo’s price-tag has been set at between €20m and €25m, but more importantly that only cash sums paid up front will be considered.
Atletico Madrid had also been in the running, but appear to have abandoned the race under these conditions.
Negredo would be one of the options to replace Edinson Cavani if someone activates the Napoli star’s €63m contract clause.
