Pavel Nedved wants to see Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon play until the age of 50 – “he’s still the first to training”.
The former midfielder went to Serie B along with Buffon, and was asked if he finds it strange to see him, Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini still playing.
“Not at all,” Nedved insisted, speaking to Idnes.
“They know how much I sacrificed in training, and now I can still see how much I care every day.

“I have the discussion with Gigi Buffon quite often: how to go even higher? How to be even better? All the lads who have come recently watch them open-mouthed, because they had no idea what Juventus means.
“It’s about a lifestyle, you’d be surprised by what we do in training and our intense preparation. Each of our opponents gives more than 100 per cent, so we have to be prepared.
“It’s impossible to explain it, you have to experience it.
“When will Buffon retire? It’s up to him! When he returned from the Euros he told me that he wants to go on until at least the World Cup in Russia.
“He’s still first to training, honest, practically flawless. When I see his passion in training, I want him to play until 50!”
