Cesare Natali has no idea whether he will be handed a new contract by current club Fiorentina.

The centre-back’s present agreement expires in June 2012 and it is unclear what the Viola want to do with him.

“My deal is coming to a close, but we haven’t yet discussed the matter directly,” the Bergamo-born man noted.

“I’ve already said on numerous occasions that I am ready to prolong my stay here, but the club must have the same desire.

“We’ll see what happens.”

Natali, 32, has played in 11 League games for the Viola so far this season.

The stopper, formerly of Atalanta, Bologna and Udinese, joined Fiorentina in 2009 after a couple of seasons at Torino.

Fiorentina recently extended the contract of Manuel Pasqual whose previous agreement was also set to expire in June 2012.

Riccardo Montolivo, though, has rejected the offer of a new deal and he will be available on a Bosman free at the end of the season.
