Napoli director Mauro Meluso insists Piotr Zielinski and Victor Osimhen will continue giving their all for the club, even though they are expected to leave this summer.

The match with Lazio kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 17.00 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s five Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

Both teams have a game in hand in the league, having participated in the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four in Riyadh.

The Aquile were flattened 3-0 by Inter in the semi-final, then Napoli capitulated in stoppages after Giovanni Simeone was sent off.

Cards from that tournament carry on to Serie A, so Ciro Immobile, Mattia Zaccagni, Simeone, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Jens Cajuste are all suspended today.

However, Zielinski starts just days after President Aurelio De Laurentiis blasted the Poland international for letting his contract run down, as there are reports he already has a deal with Inter.

“Piotr’s contract is running down, but he is a professional, we are focused exclusively on this evening’s game, which is very important to get back into the race for the top four,” Meluso told DAZN.

“Piotr is a professional, he is an important player for this team and as long as he is on our books, he must be at the disposal of the squad.”

This isn’t the only concern for the end of the season, as De Laurentiis also announced that Osimhen will be moving on in the summer. Is the Nigeria international already clocking out on Napoli during the Africa Cup of Nations?

“It is not a very fair mentality to think that if a player has earned the opportunity to change team, he somehow cannot be trusted to deliver at his current squad. I see them in training all the time, Zielinski and Osimhen certainly never lacked for a competitive approach.

“When he returns, we will evaluate him and hope he is in the physical and above all mental condition to help the team.”
