Zapata could be entered into the deal as the Neroverdi are believed to appreciate the striker, who has been on loan at Udinese since last summer.

The Colombian is on a two-year loan at the Zebrette, but this could be cut short thanks to a clause in the deal.

The Champions League final could represent the meeting place for a deal to be finalised, but Sassuolo will meet on Monday to discuss their transfer market strategy.
