Maurizio Sarri downgraded Napoli’s objective for the remainder of the season after they fell four points behind Juventus at the top of Serie A, but Milik made it clear he still harboured ambitions of the title.

“I’ll be able to rest after the World Cup, now isn’t the time,” the striker told pudelek.pl.

“There are no important conclusions to be drawn at this stage, our main objective is the League and we want our fans to be proud of us.

“Lack of games? I don’t have any problems with that. The criticism pushes me to keep going and do my job better.

“Training itself isn’t exciting because, for example, we work on tactics, which we don’t like doing.

“After that, I often find myself alone on the pitch and work on whatever I like, which is shooting at goal.

“I’m a bit like a child, who wants to make their dreams come true. When I stop getting a buzz out of what I’m doing, that’ll probably be the time I end my career.”
