Siena have admitted that they are in talks with Napoli over the possible January sales of Emanuele Calaio and Neto.

The Azzurri are looking for a new striker and defender, and both could arrive from the Tuscan minnows this month.

“We are discussing things with Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon,” Siena President Massimo Mezzaroma noted.

“For us to release Calaio then Napoli will have to make a sacrifice. They are also very interested in Neto too, but we’ll need to understand a few things first.

“There is a lot to discuss in order to get an idea of the economical and technical compatibility of any transfers.”

The San Paolo outfit want an attacking player as back-up to Edinson Cavani, while a stopper is required after Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava were banned for six months.
