Napoli are reportedly ready to release Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea after June 30 – because that’s when Elseid Hysaj and Raul Albiol release clauses expire.

According to Sportitalia, part of the agreement to let Sarri go was the ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ not to poach their star players.

Those who have release clauses and are of interest to Sarri are full-back Hysaj and central defender Albiol.

However, those clauses expire on June 30 and so the pact will have been respected.

Following that show of good faith, President Aurelio De Laurentiis will then agree to terminate Sarri’s contract by mutual consent for around €5m.

Having said that, Sportitalia also claim that Napoli could bring it forward 24 hours and let Sarri go on Friday June 29.

They have already signed new boss Carlo Ancelotti, whose contract begins on July 1.
