On from completing a deal to sign Albiol’s teammate Jose Callejon, though, the Corriere dello Sport today suggest that Napoli are also monitoring the centre-back.

However, Madrid, who only signed Albiol to a new five-year contract last August, are seen as pushing for a high asking price, whilst the player’s current earnings are also seen as a likely barrier at this stage.
