James Rodriguez might not leave Real Madrid after an Eden Hazard injury, leaving Napoli and Atletico Madrid high and dry.

The Colombia international just returned to the Bernabeu after a two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich.

Nobody has so far met the €42m asking price, as Napoli were determined to only get him on loan with option to buy, while Real Madrid were unhappy at the idea of selling to rivals Atleti.

It was confirmed today that summer signing Hazard has suffered a muscular tear and could therefore be out for four to six weeks.

James was then included in the Real Madrid squad for their opening Liga game of the season and it’s reported he might be taken off the market.

This would effectively end Napoli’s hopes of reuniting James with Carlo Ancelotti, who was his Coach at both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Partenopei do appear to have captured one of their attacking targets, agreeing a €42m deal with PSV Eindhoven and personal terms with Hirving Lozano.
