However, the Partenopei are thought once again to be considering a move for the midfielder who is being compared to Gokhan Inler for his ability to win possession and initiate passing moves.
One aspect that could trip up any proposed deal comes in the form of the asking price – where Racing are thought keen to push for offers of €8m and above for the 24-year-old, Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon is reportedly only interested in a €6m deal.
