Napoli have been keeping a close eye on Pasquale Mazzocchi and may look to pick him up in the coming transfer windows.

The 27-year-old Italian full back recently received his first call up to Roberto Mancini’s national team and has performed well when given the chance, impressing since his move to Salernitana earlier this year. The Campania outfit paid Venezia €1m to make his deal permanent in the summer and they could soon sell him on for a quick profit.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are big fans of Mazzocchi and are keen to add him to their squad. The 27-year-old is from Naples and is a lifelong fan of the club, and Luciano Spalletti’s side clearly need a reliable backup for Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

The only issue facing the Partenopei is the price tag; Salernitana do not want to lose him in January and so are asking for around €10m, making a serious move in the summer more likely.
