Maurizio Sarri’s men continue to churn out the entertainment in pre-season by tearing Serie D side Trento apart.

Pepe Reina was again absent, as he is yet to find his full fitness, but Faouzi Ghoulam hit the crossbar directly from the corner flag within two minutes.

It took until the 16th to break the deadlock with a deflected Dries Mertens strike from the edge of the box, then Emanuele Giaccherini scored a rare header from Jose Callejon’s cross.

Romanian defender Chiriches scored a stunner from inside his own half, spotting the goalkeeper off his line and letting loose from 60 metres.

On the stroke of half-time, Callejon made it 4-0 after Marek Hamsik nutmegged a defender to send him clear.

Sarri changed the entire XI for the second half and Arkadiusz Milik made an immediate impact with his diving header on a Lorenzo Insigne assist.

Ounas broke his Napoli duck in truly spectacular style, as he waited for a long Jorginho pass to fall over his shoulder and hit an unstoppable left-foot volley.

Not to be outdone, Milik added the seventh and completed his personal best with a scorpion kick after the goalkeeper had only parried Insigne’s cross-shot.

Ounas was very impressive, turning just off target with a shot and a header.
