Napoli have reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Denis Suarez, after he asked for €4.5m per season in wages.
The Partenopei were linked with a late swoop for the Barcelona midfielder, with reports of a €30m offer.
However, Rai Sport believes that after talks with the player it became clear he’d demand wages of €4.5m per season, well above what Napoli were prepared to play.
It would have made him one of the highest paid players at the club, just behind Lorenzo Insigne who earns a reported €5m per season.
