According to CalcioNapoli24.it, De Laurentiis is planning to extend Sarri's contract, which currently is set for only one season, with an option to renew every year for up to five consecutive years.

On the back of Sarri's strong performances, the contract may be changed to a two-year deal, with his salary incresed from €700,000 to €1.2m. The new deal would be signed by the end of December.

The move would help Napoli defend their Coach from the interest of a number of potential suitors, in particular Milan and Roma.
